Presets are a great way to create a cohesive theme for your photos, however, they are not a one-click change on your photos since every photo is taken on a different device (camera/phone) in different lighting conditions and has different intensities of colors.
So please do not worry if the photos do not look as expected. 
You may need to slightly adjust certain settings like the 'exposure', 'shadows', 'contrast', 'vibrance', or 'hues' depending upon the photo to get the perfect result.
